We conduct assessments constantly, and I can easily say that one of the biggest problems with most people is some form of dehydration.

Most people that we encounter are not drinking enough water, and at the same time, indicate symptoms of being tired, sluggish, unmotivated and have a hard time focusing…. basically all symptoms of being dehydrated.

One of the biggest tips we give right away is to DRINK MORE WATER!

Our bodies are made up of nearly 60% water and every system in our body is dependent on water to operate optimally.

If you are part of the majority that is not getting enough water currently, staying properly hydrated will improve your life drastically… and the results come quickly.

T?here are 3 specific reasons to stay hydrated that I believe will appeal to a large part of the population.

1. Your Appearance

Skin cells are made up of water which would only make sense that staying hydrated will help keep your skin looking healthy, smooth and maintain elasticity.

Without the proper hydration, your skin can become dry, flaky and any wrinkles can appear more pronounced.

Water ultimately flushes toxins out of your body, so proper hydration will help to keep your skin clean and clear; ridding your skin of dirt and bacteria that can cause acne or similar skin irritations.

2.Your Performance

Some people are under the assumption that water will give you energy. Technically, water has zero calories to be converted into ATP to provide your body with energy.

So, the answer is no. However, most people as I mentioned above, are dehydrated which causes you to lose energy.

Therefore, for people who are lacking the adequate water consumption, drinking more water can allow you to regain lost energy because your body is working more optimally.

So, in a sense, the answer is no, but yes.

3.Weight Loss

Can water help you lose weight? Sure!

Drinking more water will help to speed up your metabolism, which will cause you to burn more calories. Losing weight is a simple game of expending more calories than consuming.

So if you can speed up your metabolism to burn more calories, you have a better chance at losing weight, as long as you are being disciplined with other areas of your life as well such as diet, exercise, etc.

(Do not expect to simply start chugging water and dropping pants sizes.) Water can help to suppress your appetite before meals as well which is an easy way to cut back on caloric intake.
